Junk Journal Making
Learn to paint with flair.
In this hands‑on class, you’ll learn how to turn everyday papers and found treasures into a beautifully layered junk journal that feels personal and full of character. We’ll walk through the whole process together—from choosing a theme and gathering materials, to building the cover, binding the pages, and adding pockets, tags, flips, and hidden journaling spots. Along the way you’ll pick up techniques for aging paper, combining textures, and using vintage photos and ephemera to tell a story. You’ll leave class with a finished (or nearly finished) journal and the skills, ideas, and confidence to keep creating unique books on your own.
Collage
Craft stunning collage.
Explore the art of storytelling through layers, texture, and unexpected combinations. In this collage class, you’ll learn how to build dynamic compositions using vintage images, painted papers, ephemera, and found objects. We’ll cover choosing a focal point, balancing color and contrast, and using glue, gel medium, and mark‑making to create depth and movement. You’ll experiment with intuitive, “no‑rules” play as well as simple design principles, so your finished pieces feel both free and intentional. By the end of class, you’ll have a completed collage and a toolbox of techniques you can use in journals, canvases, and mixed‑media projects at home.
Jewelry
Create unique adornments.
Design and create your own wearable art in this beginner‑friendly jewelry class. We’ll start with the basics—tools, findings, and then move into building earrings, necklaces, and charms using beads, chain, vintage bits, and small found objects. You’ll learn how to combine components in a balanced way, finish pieces securely, and add personal touches so every design feels uniquely yours. By the end of class, you’ll leave with several completed pieces and the skills to keep experimenting and creating jewelry at home.
